The Apache Solr Support Policy for Lucidworks outlines version-support guidelines to ensure stability and security. The policy includes support for the:

Current major version

Major, stable version immediately preceding the current major version

Final patch version only of the major, stable release that is two versions preceding the current major version
The purpose of this policy is to define the version support strategy for Apache Solr within Lucidworks Fusion. This policy ensures stability, security, and optimal performance by specifying the versions required to maintain support as well as associated upgrade process.
Version support
Lucidworks will support the current major stable version of Apache Solr.

Support will be provided for the most recent minor version of this major version supported.

Support will be extended to the major, stable version immediately preceding the current major version, as well as the final patch version only of the major, stable version that is two versions preceding the current major version.
Example
If the current major stable version is 9.x, support would include all versions of 9.x, all versions of 8.x, and version 7.7.3 only, where 7.7.3 is the final patch version of release 7.x. Upon the release of Solr 10.0, support would hypothetically extend to versions 10.x, 9.x, and whatever is the final patch version of release 8.x.
Support activity
Support includes bug fixes, security updates, and assistance with version-specific issues. Lucidworks will actively monitor Apache Solr releases and update this policy periodically.
Upgrade process
Regularly scheduled updates and upgrades will be communicated to relevant teams within the company.
