Get started with App Studio

Predictive Merchandiser installs as part of an App Studio 5 project. (App Studio 5 is installed when installing an appropriate version of Fusion Server).

To install and use Predictive Merchandiser, you should first familiarize yourself with App Studio.

Prerequisites

The steps in this article assume the following:

  • Your systems administrator has already installed App Studio 5 during set up and configuration of a Fusion Server environment.

The App Studio homepage opens. If this is your first time using App Studio, you are given the option to launch the tutorial:

    App Studio Launchpad

  3. Either open the tutorial or click not right now.

We recommend that first time users walk through the tutorial. It shows you how to build a simple Staff Directory search application, and teaches you about projects, Mission Control, the Marketplace and the various boards.

You can reset and restart the tutorial at any time by selecting Reset Tutorial from the User menu.

Before you can install Predictive Merchandiser and create a Merchandiser board, you first need to create an App Studio project.
