Managed Search URL Architecture

Managed Search assigns an LMS Region Name to identify the corresponding public cloud region. The LMS Region Name is used internally to standardize the region naming convention.

The Managed Search URL is comprised of four parts:

  1. URL protocol

  2. Cell - The cell portion of the URL is comprised of three items:

    1. Cell type -

    2. Cloud service provider - See Supported Providers and Regions.

      Google Cloud Platform

      Amazon Web Services

    3. Number - For example, you can have multiple copies of your development instance

  3. Region - The region identifier. See Supported Providers and Regions.

  4. Public domain - This identifies the domain name of the instance.
