Lucidworks Version Support Lifecycle

Lucidworks Version Support Lifecycle

The Lucidworks Version Support Lifecycle describes the phases during which Lucidworks software is eligible for hotfixes and support. Lucidworks understands the importance of upgrade planning for our customers and partners. With the release of Fusion 5.5.1, Lucidworks simplified the release process to Rapid Release Support and Long-Term Release Support.

Policies

Rapid Release Support Policy

For rapid releases, Lucidworks understands that our customers need the latest features and bug fixes as quickly as possible. Therefore, Lucidworks provides support for the latest version of the software for a period of six months. During this time, Lucidworks will provide bug fixes, security patches, and other updates for the latest version of the software.

Lucidworks will also provide customers with regular updates on the latest features and bug fixes included in each new software release. This will help our customers stay up-to-date and take advantage of the latest improvements to the software.

Long-Term Support Release Policy

Lucidworks understands that our customers need stability and predictability. Therefore, Lucidworks provides long-term support releases for a two-year period, beginning at the time that the release is made Generally Available (GA). During this time, Lucidworks provides bug fixes, security patches, and other updates to ensure the software remains stable and secure.

Our long-term support releases are identified as such, and customers can choose to use these releases if they prefer a more stable and predictable experience. Lucidworks provides customers with critical bug fixes and security patches for these releases, but it should be noted that those updates will not change the end support date for that specific release.

At the end of the support period, Lucidworks will notify customers and encourage them to upgrade to a newer version of the software to ensure continued security and stability.

In addition to bug fixes and security patches, Lucidworks also provides customers with regular communications on the roadmap for the software, including new features and improvements that are planned for future releases. This will help our customers plan for future upgrades and take advantage of the latest improvements to the software.

Overall, our support policy is designed to provide our customers with the flexibility they need to use our software in the way that works best for them. Whether customers need the latest features and bug fixes as quickly as possible or prefer a more stable and predictable experience, Lucidworks is committed to providing the support they need to be successful.

Definitions

General Availability

The date the release version was released is Generally Available to all clients.

Support End Date

Once the support end date is passed, Lucidworks Support asks the client to upgrade before offering any support.

Lucidworks Fusion Product Lifecycle

This policy is valid for Fusion 5.5.0 and earlier only. Starting with the release of Fusion 5.5.1, this policy is updated to the Lucidworks Version Support Lifecycle.

Modern Policy

The Lucidworks Modern Technical Support Policy covers Customer-hosted, cloud-native Fusion products available through subscription directly from Lucidworks or through resellers.
