# History API

Fusion stores history for each running service within the system. Usually this is used to log start and stop events for a service. However, the scheduler uses the history to store the results of scheduled tasks. For more information on schedule history, see the section on [Jobs and Schedules](/docs/4/fusion-server/concepts/jobs/overview).

The History API provides information about the services that are running. The list of these services is provided by Introspect API, which is described in the [REST API Reference](/docs/4/fusion-server/reference/api/overview).
